It is proven that a Hydrogen Generator puts out more pure HHO gas when it is switched ON and OFF in a very fast frequent way. A PWM does exactly that. That's why the PWM is an easy way to increase the HHO production, without increasing the amp and heat.
The PWM gives you more pure hho power, while using lower amps.
The PWM can be adjusted between 0% and 100% and adjustable frequency, like the good old Stan Meyer recommended. It gives you the control over the amps, find the "sweet spot" of HHO production for your vehicle.
When using our HC Hydro Generator Series, a PWM is not absolutely neccessary since the HC Series produces far more HHO gas with lower amps than any other hydro generator out there, but for the experienced HHO enthousiast a nice addition.
Attention: if you still use "wett cells", or so called "hybrid cells" (it's still a wett cell), than a PWM is a MUST! Without a PWM the amps will run higher and the heat builds up. The result will be a short and maybe worse.
Our recommendation: switch to dry cell designs, it's safer, with more HHO gas production and lower amps.

This 50 amp heavy duty PWM will run 3 HHO cells at 13-16 amps each. 
The digital amp meter comes pre-calibrated at 40 amps and uses a large 100 amp shunt mounted inside the box. The 100 amp shunt will lose less than .4 VDC at 50 amps and will not get hot like some 50 amp shunts do.The digital panel meter can be accurate within .2-3 amps.
The 2 fans are set up for 12-24 volts and and are extremely quiet when run at 12 VDC.

This is the Max 55 Amp 12-24 volt PWM with frequency adjustment in a ABS box with 2 fans. 
The Max 55 amp heavy duty PWM will run 3 HHO cells at 15-18 amps each or 1 large cell at up to 55 amps. Simply remove the top and connect the power wire and load and set the dials to the green range.

What Is A Constant Current Pulse Width Modulator? 
A constant current PWM will automatically adjust the pulse width from the PWM 
so that it will output a constant level of current regardless of how large the load is.
In other words, set this PWM to 30 amps and the current will always be 30 amps (RMS). 

This compensates for: 
Voltage changes in the charging system, 
Temperature changes in your cell, 
Different levels of KOH in your cell.  

This makes it much easier to set up your cell and the end user is less likely to add too much KOH and burn out fuses, pop circuit breakers, or melt down the cell and wires.

Buyer Beware 

Some of the other constant current PWM's on the market are based on a flawed design floating around on the internet. This flawed design was posted back in 1998. This old design does not use true pulse width modulation and can waste as much as 50% of the energy that is passing through the PWM . 

Only true pulse width modification can pass large amounts of current without overheating. Unfortunately, this flawed design can be made at home so there are many out there. 

The old design easy to recognize. 
It uses a very large Pentium heat sink and fan. Most come in a metal box with a large fan. The large heat sink is needed because of all the power wasted when in current limiting mode. 
This unit gets very hot and is only good for small loads.
We did not use this old design. 

Our PWM uses only true Pulse Width Modification and at 30 amps, is over 98% efficient. 
Our PWM makes very little heat. This is why we can use a plastic box. 
At loads less than 30 amps, this PWM needs no fan at all. 
The fan is there for loads between 30 to 60 amps.
